The same old blue and white striped drapes were filthy. Great, because at a previous stay it was obvious the place had seen better days. Cigarette burns on the outdated carpet; wet spots on the carpet, little bit of musty smell; bad TV reception at the flat screen; weak internet connection; business center which was supposed to close at 5pm closed at 4:30, right when I needed to use it, etc. Somebody probably slammed the door too hard. at what I saw: A Jacuzzi that could easily fit 3 people. [We ate the 'Country Kitchen' restaurant, just a short walk from the hotel's front check in area (turn right and go to the street, turn left and it's right there at the Boardwalk on the right. The casino floor was kept very clean and was full of security. The young man stayed. The toiletries smelled fabulous (which was the best part of the entire stay) The entire floor was non-smoking yet our room smelled like smoke was seaping in constantly. Ate at Cuba Libre and it was great. fyi, insist on the west tower upgrade, same price, totally renovated, hardwood floors, new beds, flat panel tv...its the only way to go...we stayed on the 44th floor, had adjoining rooms, no problems, and the room was quiet.More.
